Alexey Meretskiy

Co-Founder & CEO

An experienced entrepreneur and business owner with 13 years of commercial experience in the field of insurance, leasing, and lending. Founder of GETCAR Leasing and Kreditkafe сompanies.

Alexey considers finance his life calling and is passionate about technological innovations in this area. He takes an active part in the formation of the financial industry in Ukraine. Occasionally he holds senior positions on the director board of several public and professional associations of the financial industry. In particular, in the Ukrainian Association of Lessors, the All-Ukrainian Association of Financial Companies (Association WAFC).

According to Alexey, the Weld mission is to remove and spread barriers of the classical financial system and build a new world economy based on blockchain and DeFi technologies to provide financial freedom for users. To accomplish it Weld will become a personal finance aggregator, and further — the future embodiment of Visa/MasterCard of the cryptocurrency market.

Alexey Bobok

Co-founder

He built a national-scale financial business with more than 300,000 customers with 45 cities of presence. He owns several businesses, including an international payment company, as well as several side projects.

Alexey is the project’s generator and co-founder. Together with his partners, he is the project architecture creator. Its unique model of personal financial data aggregation is designed to eliminate one of the key pains of cryptocurrency users. Alexey also defined the project mission and the product goals.

Particularly Weld project is designed to unite the disparate infrastructures of traditional finance and the cryptocurrency economy into a single ecosystem that isn’t formally in form of a model, but in fact will simplify, reduce the cost of payment, change the consumer habits, and provide them with new life quality.

Alexey swears at the stage of its maximum deployment, the project will provide the opportunity to get a Weld card in five minutes in any world area, connect cryptocurrency wallets and accounts of various payment systems, and allow users to pay instantly for any goods and services.

Weld is designed to ensure legal use in emerging markets, as opposed to market giants operating exclusively at developed and over-regulated jurisdictions.

Marcello Mari

Mari started as a freelance journalist at the Italian startup media StartupItalia!, later wrote for TechCrunch, The Guardian, and Wired Italy.

He is a popularizer of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain, as well as a participant in numerous conferences, in particular, TED talks. He is a recognized global expert on exponential technologies.

Marcello Mari is the CEO of SingularityDAO and the head of the independent project SingularityNET, which links DeFi solutions with AI, and also coordinates the Sophia NFT project, assuming selling art objects in the form of NFT tokens. The robot Sophia created a portrait of Mari’s in the form of an NFT which was later sold at the Niftygateway platform for $12 mn.

Marcello Marie’s joining on board increased Weld’s presence in the European cryptocurrency space and improved communication with the community and investors.

SingularityNET company, particularly its team of maths and scientists led by Marie provided the project with a powerful tokenomics architecture that challenges the current traditional payment systems and advanced cryptocurrency ecosystems.

Iryna Lorens

She has lived and studied in different countries, accepting the experience & culture of doing international business. She was engaged in the promotion of media projects, actively collaborating with YouTube LLC. For the last 7 years, she involved in the cryptocurrency industry. She has high expertise & extensive experience in launching cryptocurrency startups.

She raised from a trader to a manager of a cryptocurrency hedge fund registered in London with a portfolio of assets worth more than $30,000,000. She headed the venture investment & DeFi direction at the Synergia Capital Fund.

She keeps in touch with key crypto industry figures. She is a regular participant in global conferences & hackathons.

In 2021, Iryna joined the Weld Money startup team as a co-founder. After successful early investment rounds & IDO, she assumed the functions of Chief business development officer and now specifies the long-term development strategy of the company.

Digital finance expert. Graduate of Stanford University course Innovation and trend watching. Has more than 13 years of experience in the largest Ukrainian PrivatBank. Creator of many unique digital projects.

Professional with over 20 years of experience at CFO, CEO positions in financial and investment companies. Ad-hoc expertise in launching and developing companies in the financial domain and raising finance. Has deep expertise in financial consulting for investment projects, startups, and fintech projects.

Creative Director with over 12 years of experience in visual design, retouching, matte painting, and advertisement design, leading the art/creative projects for international customers in different industries within leading creative agencies.

Ruslan Kulychenko

Has 21 years of experience in IT, including management experience since 2004. Kulychenko worked both in stable banking structures (OTP-Bank, Alfa-Bank) and in the dynamically changing field of fintech (Dinero, iBox, XPAY), including the development of high-load payment projects.
